Good Time

Listening to the beat of Sara Bareilles or Patsy Cline on the curves of Highway 142, dancing in my seat to the four-four count of “San Antonio Rose” and “Blue Moon of Kentucky.”
Screaming with delight at the achievement of receiving a scholarship which will nearly completely cover tuition for my next year of community college.
Shouting the lyrics to “Holding on to You” and “Migraine” by the incredible band called Twenty | One | Pilots.
Spending half of literature class talking about random things that pop into girls' heads while the guys are out doing helpful--macho--things, like moving heavy stuff. And then spending the next half learning how to dance.

Making new friends, helping organize contestants, and having a glorious time at a local talent show to benefit a high school student seriously injured in an MVA earlier this year--who, thanks to prayer, is healing miraculously.

Honestly, those little things in life . . . they really are the backbone of it, aren't they? Maybe not noticed so much, but so appreciated when they are. . . .
